Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a travel assignment at a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center in Albany, NY.

Details

• Radiology department within a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
• Patient population includes outpatients, inpatients (stable and ICU-level), ER/trauma patients, research patients, and those requiring CT-guided procedures
• Evening/night shift: Tuesday through Friday, 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent CT Scan experience required
• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School
• ARRT registration required
• NY State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in New York (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be honored

Additional Information

• Perform CT exams across a broad patient spectrum, including trauma, ER, inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and CT-guided specialty procedures
• Responsible for practicing and enforcing radiation safety measures in accordance with NY State Department of Health code part 16
• Supports a teaching environment with an expectation of continued learning as CT technology evolves
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible for this position: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• RTO must be requested at the time of submission
• No blocked scheduling
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
