Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Cardiology Telemetry position requiring a strong cardiac background, active MA RN license, and the ability to read tele strips and perform cardiac drips.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Medical Cardiology unit (Pingree 4) in a hospital setting
• Cardiology and telemetry patient population, including post-cath care (PCI, ICD, PPM, Ablation, TR Band, Femoral approach)
• Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights
• Rotating day/evening/night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• EMR: Epic (charting system used on unit)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required — no pending or conditional MA licenses accepted
• Current BLS certification (AHA only — no other providers accepted at this facility)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only — no other providers accepted at this facility)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with a strong cardiac background
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips and perform cardiac drips
• Experience with post-cath care procedures (PCI, ICD, PPM, Ablation, TR Band, Femoral approach)
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and cardiac nursing care, including post-catheterization recovery and management of cardiac drips
• Epic used for charting
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
• Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense, and public transportation is recommended
• Time and attendance tracked via UKG/Kronos
