Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele (Neuro/Ortho) night shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
Details
- Night shift position in a Neuro/Ortho Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a 233-bed acute care hospital
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Epic EMR; experience with Epic is required
- 2 weekend shifts required every other weekend; night shift rotation may fall on Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on existing rotation
- Floating within scope to any unit except ICU, SDU, and ED as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license; valid MO state license required at time of consideration (pending IL license may be accepted — please note at time of submission)
- Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to neurological and orthopedic Med/Surg Tele patients
- Navy scrubs required
- Free parking on-site
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
