Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Nurse Manager for a Labor & Delivery unit, requiring a minimum of five years of OB nursing experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit, also overseeing the Perinatal Education unit
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 7:00am to 4:00pm
- Weekend call coverage required on a variable basis based on department needs
- 5 shifts per week, 40 hours per week
- On-call is not separately compensated as 24/7 oversight is an inherent responsibility of this management role
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand is required
- Minimum 5 years of obstetrical nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Current BLS and ACLS (healthcare provider level) required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- BSN preferred
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Inpatient OB certification preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the standard travel pay rate; local candidates within 50 miles are eligible at a reduced rate
Additional Information
- Oversee 24-hour operations of the Labor & Delivery and Perinatal Education units
- Responsible for staffing plans, skill mix, resource allocation, schedule management, and timecard oversight
- Leads daily shift huddles to align teams on patient care priorities and operational goals
- Serves in a Charge Nurse capacity when working clinically
- Expected to demonstrate evidence of continued professional growth and knowledge of current nursing trends and developments
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
