Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift, 4x10 contract requiring ARRT (CT & Radiography), CA licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital CT department serving a diverse patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including high-risk and critically ill patients
• Performs CT examinations, CT-guided procedures, venipuncture, and contrast media administration
• Proficiency with PACS for image transmission, archiving, and retrieval is required
• Night shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience in an acute care facility
• ARRT (Radiography) and ARRT (CT) required upon hire
• CA CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license required — license required if applicable
• IV/Venipuncture Certification required upon hire
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) required upon hire
• RHF (Radiology Fluoroscopy permit) required within 180 days of hire
• Graduate of a Joint Commission-approved School of Radiologic Technology; Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, technical factors, radiation safety, and safe contrast/medication administration

Additional Information

• Protocol and coordinate CT examinations per physician order, clinical history, and established department guidelines
• Responsible for accurate charge capture, documentation in the EHR, and ensuring proper image transmission and storage via PACS
• Assess patients prior to exams, educate patients on procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure safety and cooperation
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications are required for consideration
