Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of ED nursing experience and active Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Hospital Emergency Department setting in Urbana, IL
- Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- All travelers are required to complete a 2-week nights rotation
- 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with expectation to be onsite within one hour of being called
- No block scheduling
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- Epic EMR experience required
- Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of relevant ED nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- TNCC highly preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
Additional Information
- Performs patient assessments, develops and continuously modifies individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
- Executes nursing interventions and ED-specific procedures while upholding patient and staff safety standards
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation to support the full care team
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with staff, patients, visitors, and families
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded; meets the experience requirement to be considered
