Description

American Traveler is seeking a Float Psychiatric RN for a night shift position at a behavioral health hospital in Holyoke, MA, requiring an active MA RN license and at least 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience.

Details

• 84-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital setting in Holyoke, MA
• Adolescent psychiatric patient population with co-occurring substance use
• Float position requiring movement to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Night shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 8-hour shifts
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Charge nurse responsibilities included

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience required
• CPR/BLS certification required
• BSN preferred
• Experience with restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention preferred
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and crisis management skills
• Date of birth (DOB) and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct and indirect care to psychiatric and substance use patients within a multidisciplinary treatment team
• Responsibilities include contributing to individual treatment plans by developing, implementing, and documenting goals and interventions
• Applies a Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care
• Charge nurse duties are part of this role and are not separately compensated
• No RTO (time off) will be approved for the duration of this 13-week assignment
