Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Portland, ME, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience with ENT, Dental, Plastics, Pedi, and Trauma specialties.

Details

• Day shift position with hours of 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (36 hrs/wk) or 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hrs/wk), with occasional weekends and call requirements
• Operating Room unit within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Patient population spans from pediatric to geriatric ages
• Procedures performed include laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, facial plastics and trauma, cochlear implants, oral surgery, complex head and neck cancer surgery, tonsillectomy, and tympanoplasty
• No floating required within the unit
• EMR: Epic
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active ME RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS required; PALS preferred; AORN certification a plus
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Experience required in ENT, Dental, Plastics, Pediatric OR, and Level 1 Trauma settings
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Driver's License required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates who have worked at any facility within this health system in the past 12 months must disclose this at the time of application
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any facility in this health system (residents of Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and subject to a different bill rate
• A 25-mile float policy between system facilities may apply as needed
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered for this position
