Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Mother/Baby unit night shift position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring 2+ years of Mother/Baby experience and active Oklahoma or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Mother/Baby unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 4x12-hour shifts per week
• Patients are postpartum mothers and newborns
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• Weekends required per facility policy
• Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or valid compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Mother/Baby nursing experience required
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• All certifications must be valid through at least the first 30 days of the assignment unless documentation of a scheduled renewal is provided

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for assigned Mother/Baby patients
• Coordinates care with other departments and evaluates effectiveness of care provided by the broader care team
• Upholds patient rights and confidentiality in all aspects of care
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up within the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates living within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility; after completion, a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required before returning
• 13-week contract
