Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of recent experience in interventional cardiology, EP, and LAAO closure procedures, including proficiency in scrubbing and circulating.

Details

• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required on both weekdays and weekends
• Possible holiday coverage required
• Hurricane sign-up required (not guaranteed)
• Middle adult to geriatric patient population
• Procedures include diagnostic right and left heart cath, interventional cath, rotablator, IABP, closure devices (including Watchman/LAAO), and EP
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a local pay rate

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate
• Experience in interventional cardiology, EP, and LAAO closures (Watchman) required
• Skills required: diagnostic right and left heart cath, interventional cath, rotablator, IABP, closure devices, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and sterile procedure and equipment setup
• ARRT or RCIS certification required
• ACLS and BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Epic EMR experience required
• FL RN or compact license required if applicable
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia / EKG assessment prior to start
• Successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening required, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks, abuse registry review, and screening for disqualifying offenses

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including rotablator, IABP, and closure device implantations such as Watchman
• Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and sterile procedure and equipment setup
• A Basic Arrhythmia assessment is required; candidates who do not score 100% on lethal rhythms may be required to retake a dysrhythmia exam within 24 hours and must achieve an overall Angoff score of 83% or greater, 100% on the lethal rhythm section, and 83% on all other sections
• Proof of vaccination status is required — declinations are not accepted

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility are accepted
