Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Exercise Physiologist with 2+ years of experience to work in a Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center performing cardiac stress testing and echocardiograms on a day shift schedule.
Details
- Work setting is a Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center (CVDC) within a 495-bed medical center
- Primary procedures include nuclear stress tests, regular stress tests, and echocardiogram stress tests
- Patient ratio of approximately 8 patients
- EMR system is Epic
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8s)
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Exercise Physiologist experience
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or a related allied health field required; Master's degree in Exercise Science or related health field preferred
- Experience or training equivalent to ACSM Exercise Specialist designation, or advanced specialty in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation as defined by the APTA, required within one year of employment
- ACLS, BLS (AHA only), and ACSM certification required
- Vascular Sonography experience required
- All certifications must be current with no expiration within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- US SSN required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible

- Primary responsibilities include administering and monitoring nuclear, standard, and echocardiogram stress tests in a cardiovascular diagnostic setting
- Black scrubs required; all other attire must comply with Valley Health dress code policy
- Winchester, VA is located 2 hours from Washington, D.C. and offers access to Shenandoah National Park, Seven Bends State Park, Luray Caverns, and a vibrant local food, wine, and brewery scene
