Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Iowa, requiring 24 months of L&D experience, Epic proficiency, and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
Patient population includes Labor & Delivery cases with potential nursery and Mother-Baby crossover
Epic EMR experience required
Infrequent floating to Med Surg or ICU to assist with med pass or tech cares may be required

Requirements

Active Iowa (IA) or compact/multistate RN license required
Minimum 24 months of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
Nursery and/or Mother-Baby experience highly preferred
Postpartum experience preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and Intermediate EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certificate
AWHONN certification required
Driver's license required for consideration
One supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates who were employed by the facility within the 12 months prior to applying may not be eligible
Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
Time-off requests during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday periods are limited to 1 day per holiday window
