Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Case Management position in Asheville, NC, requiring at least 2 years of case management experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

• Position is based in a Care Management unit within a large, 815-bed acute care hospital in Asheville, NC
• Hospital serves as the region's referral center, housing the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and the region's only children's hospital
• Caseload ratio of 1:40
• Documentation systems include Cerner, NATE, and Ensocare (post-acute)
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Self-scheduling available
• Floating required as needed across units
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent case management experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Strong documentation and communication skills required
• Ability to shift attention between tasks and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to build trust with care team, patients, and families

• Business attire required — scrubs are not worn in this role
• Collaborates closely with RN Case Managers across all units
• Supportive leadership and strong teamwork culture within the department
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
