Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel assignment in Asheville, NC, requiring ARRT(R) certification and skills in diagnostic, invasive, and ED trauma/stroke CT imaging.

Details

• Radiology CT Scan department located on the 2nd floor of a large 800-bed acute care hospital
• Procedures include neurological, MSK, body, invasive, cardiac, and pediatric CT imaging
• ED trauma and stroke imaging are core components of the role
• Equipment includes GE Optima, GE EVO (x3), GE Revolution CT scanners, and Medrad injectors
• EMR systems used are Cerner Rad Net and Philips PACS
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM
• Possible weekend shifts and rotation to another shift
• Potential on-call requirement of approximately 12 hours per month
• Night shift staffing typically consists of 2-3 technologists and a Radiology Assistant

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
• ARRT(R) certification required
• Proficiency in all areas of CT imaging including diagnostic scans and invasive procedures
• Required skills in ED trauma and stroke imaging
• GE equipment experience, invasive CT, cardiac CT, and venipuncture skills are preferred
• License required if applicable
• SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• Professional reference required (2 references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Ideal candidate is a team player who can also work independently and is self-motivated
• Black scrubs are required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
