Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Carmel, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IN or compact RN license.
Details
- Combined 32-bed unit consisting of a 16-bed Med/Surg floor and a 16-bed Ortho unit, with staff floating between both
- Patient population includes general medical/surgical and orthopedic cases
- Maximum RN-to-patient ratio of 5:1, with 1 PCT scheduled across both units depending on census
- Uses Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) for charting; prior SCM experience is a plus
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation every 3 weeks
- Holiday coverage required
- Float between Med/Surg and Ortho units is expected
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- License/primary source verification and Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and carrying out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates within the facility's radius may be subject to a different pay rate
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
