Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level III trauma center within the Yale New Haven Health System, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 252 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Level III trauma center setting
• Medical Surgical unit
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license are not eligible for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions considered

Additional Information

• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• 13-week contract
