Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 16-week evening shift contract at an academic medical center in Burlington, VT, requiring ARRT certification, Epic proficiency, and the ability to independently scan traumas and place PIVs.
Details
- CT scan department at a large academic teaching hospital in Burlington, VT
- 10-hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, 40 hours per week
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with a minimum of every other weekend required; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Block schedules are not available for any reason
- Epic EMR is used; experience within the past 2 years is required
- Philips scanner experience is preferred
- No float requirement
Requirements
- ARRT (CT) certification required; VT license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of Epic experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Experience in a similarly sized academic teaching facility required
- Must be able to independently scan trauma patients
- Must be proficient in peripheral IV (PIV) placement — this skill is essential for success in this role
- Two professional references required: at least one from a supervisor or nurse manager within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Previous travel experience is not required
Additional Information
- Local candidates are accepted for this position; pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility (local: 50 miles or less, radius: 51–100 miles, travel: 101+ miles)
- Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires (November–April) is strongly recommended
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Any employment gaps exceeding 90 days should be explained
