Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring AZ or compact RN license and Level III Trauma experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a 38-bed hospital unit
- Facility is a Level III Trauma Center, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Day shift schedule, 3x12s from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Floating required
Requirements
- Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- NIHSS certification recommended but not required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
- Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Black scrub color dress code
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- RTO requests must be less than 1 week
- Not eligible for consideration if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
