Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring AZ or compact RN license and Level III Trauma experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a 38-bed hospital unit
  • Facility is a Level III Trauma Center, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility
  • Uses Cerner EMR system
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12s from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Floating required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • NIHSS certification recommended but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
  • No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
  • Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
  • Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Black scrub color dress code
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
  • RTO requests must be less than 1 week
  • Not eligible for consideration if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
