Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Case Management position in Asheville, NC, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency with Cerner in a large acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Position is based in the Care Management unit of a large 815-bed acute care hospital in Asheville, NC
• Caseload ratio is 1:40
• Documentation systems include Cerner, NATE, and Ensocare (post-acute systems)
• Schedule is self-directed with shifts running 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Floating is required across units as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Case Management RN experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to shift attention between tasks and manage competing priorities
• Ability to build trust with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two references required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Collaborate closely with RN Case Managers across all units
• Business attire is required — no scrubs
• Facility is recognized as a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, with a Level III NICU and the region's only children's hospital
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Supportive leadership and strong teamwork are emphasized within the Care Management department
