Description

American Traveler is hiring a dual-modality CT/X-ray Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT(CT) certification.

Details

• Works in Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatric Acute Care settings
• Dual modality role covering CT, X-ray, and OR coverage
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract length
• Required to float within scope
• Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
• Charting completed in Epic (test-out option available)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current CT Tech experience required, 2 years preferred
• Must also have X-ray experience
• ARRT(CT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• MD state license or compact license required in-hand (license required if applicable)
• Must be able to work independently
• Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast
• Experience with chest imaging including calcium scoring and coronary angiography
• Experience with head and neck imaging including trauma head and carotid studies
• Experience with spine and musculoskeletal imaging (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
• Skilled in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with brain perfusion, coronary CTA, and vascular CTA preferred

Additional Information

• Provides CT and X-ray coverage including OR support
• One reference required for consideration
• First-time travelers considered as long as minimum experience requirements are met
• No mile radius rule in place
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning staff must wait 6 months to return as a traveler, with case-by-case review if within 1 year
• Preference for no RTO during the first week of the assignment
• Maximum of 10 days RTO per 13-week contract, ideally added to the end of the contract
