Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with a minimum of 1.5-2 years hospital experience and GE & Siemens equipment proficiency for a night shift role at a Level III trauma center.
Details
- Short term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Work in the Radiology/Cardiology CT Tech department
- Patient population includes adult outpatient, pediatric outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department cases
- 4x10 hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Call and weekend coverage required as needed by the department
- Will be required to float between the CT hospital site and a Rhode Island hospital site, requiring licensure in both states
- Uses Epic charting system
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Minimum of 1.5-2 years hospital CT Tech experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications required
- CT and RI state licenses required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- GE and Siemens equipment experience required
- Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest measurement preferred
- Experience with abdomen, pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal CT studies
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
- Skills in starting peripheral IVs and venipuncture preferred
- Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious/medical exemptions only
- 1 professional reference required
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and vascular studies
- May perform special procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, drainage, and vascular CTA
- Candidates may need to apply for state licensure prior to submission, as license issuance can take 15-21 business days
- Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius of the hospital site
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible to return as a travel employee
- Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
