Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level III trauma center, requiring 1.5+ years hospital experience and ARRT CT certification.
Details
- Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds, part of Yale New Haven Health System
- Evening (5x8, 2:45 PM-11:15 PM) and Night (5x8, 11:00 PM-7:15 AM) shifts based on department need
- Will be required to float between two hospital locations across two states (CT and RI)
- EPIC charting system used
- Performs CT imaging across Emergency Department, ICU, and outpatient settings for adult and pediatric patients
- Special procedures may include coronary CTA, CT arthrography, biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and vascular CTA
- Uses GE and Siemens CT equipment
- Free parking available onsite
Requirements
- Minimum 1.5 years of hospital CT Tech experience required
- ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- CT and RI state radiology licenses required; license required if applicable and candidate may start with whichever license issues first
- GE and Siemens CT equipment experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT imaging
- Experience with image display and post-processing including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction preferred
- Skills in contrast media administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture preferred
- Trauma Level I or II center experience preferred
- Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging studies across a variety of clinical settings including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal exams
- Assist with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and CTA studies
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID-19 booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies
- Facility does not accept local candidates within 75 miles of the hospital site
- Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible to return as a traveler
- Facility can auto-approve up to 7 days of requested time off
