Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(CT) certification and 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience for a hospital-based Computed Tomography department.

Details

  • Work in the Computed Tomography department of a hospital setting
  • Evening shift schedule Mon-Wed 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
  • Rotating on-call responsibilities and assigned holiday coverage required
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • ARRT(CT) certification required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
  • Associate degree required
  • 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience preferred
  • 1 year of experience in the specialty being submitted for is required
  • State licensure required if applicable
  • No pending license allowed for consideration
  • Proficiency in CT equipment operation, imaging techniques, and protocols
  • Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and injector operation
  • Understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency
  • Ability to view, transfer, and manipulate electronic images
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations

Additional Information

  • Perform CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
  • Perform exams per department protocol and review images for quality and accuracy
  • Administer contrast media under physician or radiologist supervision and provide patient education on contrast safety
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
  • Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and any incidents
  • Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers following procedures
  • Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists as needed
  • First-time travelers may be considered
  • Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for this assignment

  • RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration
