Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 3 years of L&D experience and active fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery Unit providing obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
• Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, an OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
• Five newly expanded L&D rooms feature state-of-the-art equipment and modern technology
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
• Rotating holidays and weekends required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Meditech charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor & Delivery RN experience
• OB Triage experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted (C-EFM required if contract extensions reach or exceed 1 year from initial start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, C-EFM through NCC or AWHONN
• Skills in Labor and Delivery Management required
• Experience circulating for C-sections preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must work two of the three winter holidays
• Longer assignments through January 9, 2027 are available but not required
• Facility is smoke-free
• Accepts local candidates with no radius rule and no difference in pay rate
• RTO requests must be submitted with application and are reviewed on a per-case basis
