Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Clinical Decision Unit position requiring telemetry competency and progressive care experience.

Details

• work in a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care (medical-surgical and/or step-down) patients
• Unit primarily serves short stay patients (less than 24 hour length of stay) with quick turnover
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 depending on level of care
• Day and night shifts staffed with 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• Telemetry equipment used, with all indicated patients hardwired to bedside monitors
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Scheduled shift is 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required with no on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry competency required
• Progressive care experience required, with recent experience preferred
• Candidates must not have work history gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
