Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level III NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring NRP certification and prior Level III NICU experience.

Details

  • Work in a 51-bed Level III Neonatal ICU within a children's hospital setting
  • Unit staffed with 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, and 2 RTs per shift
  • Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity
  • Uses Cerner EMR
  • Shift runs from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Floating required to Peds, PICU, and Mother Baby (babies only) units

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
  • Current NRP certification required
  • NIC-RNC and STABLE certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience preferred
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required

Additional Information

  • Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
  • Work within a children's hospital that offers 30 pediatric subspecialists
  • Facility is a regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care and the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital in western North Carolina
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
