Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active CO or compact license and strong AWHONN fetal monitoring skills.
Details
- Work on a 13-bed Labor & Delivery unit with a staff of approximately 40
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Minimum staffing of 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, and 1 CST per shift
- Patient ratios are mostly 1:1, adhering to AWHONN guidelines
- Uses GE EFM fetal monitoring equipment
- EMR systems include CPN and Meditech
- Responsibilities include triaging and evaluating OB patients, managing labor patients, and overseeing recovery for vaginal and C-section deliveries
- Manages induction of labor using Cervidil, Cytotec, and Pitocin
- Must be able to circulate for C-sections
- Self-scheduling available on this moderate-paced unit
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care L&D RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required (Intermediate or Advanced) or NCCEFM
- Prior Meditech experience preferred
- Strong OB triage skills preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO)
