Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3 years of OR experience and PALS, BLS & ACLS certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures
• 13-week assignment with 12-hour day shifts on weekdays
• 4x12 hour on-call requirement within an 8-week schedule period
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications: PALS, BLS, and ACLS (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the OR specialty required
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Prepare the operating room for patients and surgical procedures, including assembling equipment and ensuring supplies and implants are available
• Adhere to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques throughout procedures
• Consult and coordinate with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
• Serve as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the operating team
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates within the radius are accepted
