Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a mid-shift position requiring an active NH or compact RN license and at least 3 years of ED experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process
• 3x12 mid/evening shift schedule from 9am-9pm
• 13-week assignment length
• Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through Saturday 11:59pm

Requirements

• Active NH RN license (or compact) currently in hand, or eligible to obtain NH license
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• CPI certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
• Ability to perform standard patient assessments using basic equipment
• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination required for medication administration
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Assess patients upon admission including medical history, vital signs, lab work, and diagnostic tests
• Participate in planning and implementing written care plans under physician direction
• Maintain patient confidentiality and interact positively with team members and patients
• Respect patient culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning or implementing care
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Clinical ED experience preferred
• Certification in specialty area preferred
