Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a mid-shift position requiring an active NH or compact RN license and at least 3 years of ED experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process
- 3x12 mid/evening shift schedule from 9am-9pm
- 13-week assignment length
- Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through Saturday 11:59pm
Requirements
- Active NH RN license (or compact) currently in hand, or eligible to obtain NH license
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- CPI certification required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
- Ability to perform standard patient assessments using basic equipment
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination required for medication administration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
- Assess patients upon admission including medical history, vital signs, lab work, and diagnostic tests
- Participate in planning and implementing written care plans under physician direction
- Maintain patient confidentiality and interact positively with team members and patients
- Respect patient culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning or implementing care
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
- Clinical ED experience preferred
- Certification in specialty area preferred
