Description
American Traveler is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring ARRT or RCIS certification along with BLS and ACLS.
Details
- Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures under RN supervision
- Assists physicians with radiological imaging and acts as scrub assistant maintaining sterile conditions
- Operates imaging equipment and monitors/documents procedures from the control room
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- Registered ARRT required, or RCIS/RCES/RRT with CV-specific certification required within 18 months of hire
- Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
- Fluoroscopy Certification required
- 2 years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Educates patients and families about procedures and pre/post-procedure expectations
- Maintains stock levels and cleanliness of the unit for diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards
- Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying potential process improvements and safety hazards
- Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
