Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring proficiency in Impella, IABP, and post open heart care with a compact or Oklahoma RN license required.
Details
- Cardiovascular ICU unit within a hospital setting
- Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Candidates must have experience with Impella, balloon pump (IABP), and heart recovery care
- Proficiency required in CRRT, post open heart day 2 care, and ECMO
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to a variety of cardiovascular ICU patients with complex health needs
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
- Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding requirements must be completed promptly
- Travelers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, requiring a 6-month separation before reapplying
