Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring MD or compact licensure, prior travel experience, and OB triage expertise.
Details
- Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
- Rotating holidays and weekends required
- Block scheduling not available
- Must work two of the three winter holidays
- Labor & Delivery unit providing comprehensive obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
- Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
- Newly expanded unit with five brand-new Labor & Delivery rooms featuring state-of-the-art equipment
- Patient ratio of 1:1-2
- Preferred charting system is Meditech
Requirements
- Active MD RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor & Delivery RN experience
- OB Triage experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted with C-EFM required if contract extensions reach or exceed 1 year
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced
- Preferred experience in teaching and community hospital settings
- Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
- Proof of residency must match candidate's licensure

- RTO requests reviewed and approved on a per-case basis at time of submission
- Facility located in Frederick, Maryland, offering a historic downtown, scenic mountain views, and easy access to Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position due to required prior travel experience
