Description
American Traveler is hiring a night shift CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma center requiring Siemens equipment experience and MA licensure.
Details
- 13-week night shift assignment, 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week
- Level 1 trauma center setting
- Staff will float among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
- Weekend coverage required
- On-call and flexible shift coverage may be required
- Uses CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts State Radiologic and CT Technologist license required if applicable
- ARRT registration in CT required
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- 2-3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred, with at least 1 year in CT
- Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Level 1 trauma center experience required
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for patient care and image acquisition
Additional Information
- Operates CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images per departmental protocol, ensuring proper patient prep, positioning, and shielding
- Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction
- Completes RIS documentation, transfers images to PACS, and manages exam scheduling
- Maintains CEUs per MA licensure and ARRT requirements
- May oversee and instruct radiography, CT, or nuclear medicine students
- Participates in quality assurance, research, and cost containment initiatives
- Transports and transfers patients per departmental guidelines
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no exemptions allowed
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are considered local, with a corresponding rate adjustment
