Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of acute care experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work on a 28-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
- Various days of the week with weekend shifts required per unit needs (7 weekend shifts per contract)
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 days and 1:6 nights, which may flex up based on staffing and unit needs
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to all med/surg units and possibly to sister facilities based on facility needs
- Uses Epic charting system
- Navy scrub color required
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
- AHA BLS and CPR certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
Additional Information
- Care for patients with med/surg, orthopedic, ortho trauma, and total joint replacement needs
- Manage cardiac monitoring, telemetry (unit and remote), PCA medications, and surgical drains
- Utilize Rapid Response/Code team protocols and isolation precautions/PPE as needed
- First-time travelers welcome to apply provided they have at least 2 years of RN experience
- Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose this information
- Candidates who completed a full year on assignment with this health system must wait at least one year before rebooking
- Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during select weeks
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
