Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of acute care experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 28-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Various days of the week with weekend shifts required per unit needs (7 weekend shifts per contract)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 days and 1:6 nights, which may flex up based on staffing and unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to all med/surg units and possibly to sister facilities based on facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Navy scrub color required

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• AHA BLS and CPR certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios

Additional Information

• Care for patients with med/surg, orthopedic, ortho trauma, and total joint replacement needs
• Manage cardiac monitoring, telemetry (unit and remote), PCA medications, and surgical drains
• Utilize Rapid Response/Code team protocols and isolation precautions/PPE as needed
• First-time travelers welcome to apply provided they have at least 2 years of RN experience
• Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose this information
• Candidates who completed a full year on assignment with this health system must wait at least one year before rebooking
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during select weeks
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
