Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist to support cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, requiring ARRT registration and an unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a cardiovascular unit
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• Supports pre/post-cardiac intervention patients including PTCA, cardioversion, generator implants, and TAVR

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiology Technology required
• Unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license in the state required (license required if applicable)
• Registered with ARRT and licensed through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• No prior experience required

Additional Information

• Operates radiographic equipment in the Cath Lab under the direction of a cardiologist
• Performs scrub assist role during invasive cardiac and EP procedures
• Obtains patient medical history and completes physical assessments prior to procedures
• Performs time-out procedures ensuring proper consent and documentation
• Maintains sterile technique while assisting physicians and scrub team
• Documents patient progress, interventions, and charges within the EMR
• Identifies and documents basic arrhythmias and respiratory dysfunction
• Utilizes pulse oximetry, cardiac monitoring, and automatic blood pressure equipment
• Performs cardiac output, valve area, and shunt calculations
