Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring Impella, IABP, and ECMO proficiency on night shifts.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a hospital setting
- Care for patients requiring Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), CRRT, and ECMO support
- Provide post open heart day 2 care
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Requirements
- Active OK or multistate compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Experience with Impella, balloon pump, and heart recovery required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to a variety of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
- Administer medications, monitor IV infusions and blood products, and document patient responses to treatment
- Collaborate with physicians on diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
- Strict compliance and credentialing deadlines must be met with no start date flexibility
- Returning workers limited to one contract extension up to 26 weeks, followed by a 6-month separation before reapplying
