Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II/III trauma experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• 13-week contract assignment
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Holiday coverage expected during the assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (or willingness to obtain if offered)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required, preferably in a similarly sized facility
• Level II or III trauma experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in pediatric and adult emergency care including respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and orthopedic conditions
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, respiratory distress, psychiatric crises, and pediatric emergencies
• Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed
• Facility conducts an onsite drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be submitted with application, and some holiday coverage is expected
