Description
American Traveler is hiring a PCU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a CO or compact RN license and PALS certification.
Details
- Patient Care Unit setting within a rural Critical Access Hospital
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted CO or compact RN license required
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification (may be obtained upon hire)
- PALS certification required
- Minimum 2-3 years of RN experience required
Additional Information
- Serve as the primary nurse providing care within an interdisciplinary team
- Must be physically able to safely function in a high-altitude, low-oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation)
- No RTO accepted during the assignment
- Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing, which is limited and costly in the surrounding area

Staff is great , CNAs awesome . Very small hospital , on call rooms for emergency’s you have or state of alerts . So small you don’t float unless you’re critical care nurse .
Cons
Admit kids and adults, slow seasons are slow on call shifts . OT was labile . Depends what season you work . Bougie clientele if they don’t wanna d/c they won’t .
