Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel assignment requiring Level 3 NICU skills and acute care experience across ICU, Med Surg, and ER.
Details
- Respiratory Care unit within a 160-bed hospital staffed by 32 respiratory therapists
- Patient population spans ICU, Med Surg, ER, and Level 3 NICU
- Uses RVU system for patient ratios
- Equipment includes PB and Drager V500 ventilators, Aerogen nebulizers, V60 Bipap, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport, Oscillator, Jet ventilator, Nitric oxide therapy, and Bubble CPAP
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Night shift, 6:00pm-6:30am, 3x12 schedule totaling 36 hours per week
- Weekend rotation required every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Level 3 NICU experience required
- Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU required
- Experience managing Bipaps, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units
- Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
- Proficient EMR charting skills required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- License required if applicable
