Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Neuro Med Surg night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and NIHSS certification.
Details
- Neuro Med Surg unit on night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Every other weekend required, either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation
- No on-call requirements
- May float within scope to any unit except ICU, SDU, and ED
- Uses EPIC charting system
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required (compact must match permanent residence)
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Fire Safety certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Skills in neurological/psychiatric care, CVA, cardiac monitoring, telemetry (unit and remote preferred), PICC line management, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
- Must be able to pass facial fit testing for respirators; facial hair must allow for proper fit or be shaved
Additional Information
- Care for neurological med/surg patients including stroke (CVA) and total joint replacement cases
- Navy scrub color required
- No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week
- Standard travelers residing outside a 75-mile radius may work up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
- Former permanent employees of BJC or Saint Luke's facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
