Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Cares for post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
- Night shift schedule with 3 x 12-hour shifts (1900-0730)
- 36 hours per week over 3 days
- 5-6 weekend shifts required
- Holiday coverage based on department rotation
- Uses EPIC charting system
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of CVMS patients
- Perform hourly rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members and offer peer feedback for professional development
- Report or correct safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
- First-time travelers may be considered
