Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and open to first-time travelers.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Rotating weekends required, approximately every 3-4 weeks
• Position may float between units
• Patient ratios of approximately 8-9 to 1
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Current WA OT license required, if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Acute care experience required; IPR experience a plus
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills in edema massage, kinesiotaping, prosthetics/orthotics, functional splints, orthoplast, and static splints preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Must be a collaborative, hard-working team player
• Scrubs of any color accepted for all units
• No on-call requirements
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Former employees may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
• No parking fees at this facility
