Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift acute care hospital position requiring at least 1 year of experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• 233 staffed beds facility
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Works every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation)
• No on-call requirements
• Floats within scope to another telemetry unit as needed
• Clerical support available on day shift only
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Fire Safety certification preferred
• NURSYS verification required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Must be clean-shaven or have facial hair compatible with respirator fit testing

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Navy scrub color required
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Standard travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius and may work up to 18 months before requiring a 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
• No guaranteed block scheduling accommodations
