Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring Impella, IABP, and post open heart care experience with a compact or OK RN license.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a hospital setting
- Care for patients requiring Impella, balloon pump (IABP), and heart recovery support
- Provide post open heart day 2 care and manage CRRT and ECMO therapies
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours)
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Experience with Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO required
- Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular ICU patients with complex health needs
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and communicate changes in physician orders
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
- Collaborate with physicians on diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Educate patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no allowance for start date delays
- Onboarding, including background checks and drug screening, must begin immediately upon offer
- 30-day written notice required to cancel or end an assignment early
- Returning workers may extend a contract once up to 26 weeks total, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
