Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 1+ year of experience and willingness to work on an IRF unit.
Details
- 13-week travel assignment in the Physical Therapy department at a Level II Trauma Center
- 383-bed acute care hospital with a 28-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), average census of 240
- Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, no night shift available
- Patient ratios of 4 patients/day on IRF and 8-12 patients/day in acute care
- Therapy staff services the entire facility
- Equipment includes two therapy gyms, Vector, LiteGait, and an ADL Apartment
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Requires one weekend shift per month and holiday rotation in accordance with facility policy
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Physical Therapy required
- Active PT license required if applicable
- Active BLS certification required
- Willingness to work on the IRF unit required
- Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills required
- Hospital or IRF experience highly preferred
- Stroke or neuro experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluations, treatments, discharges, team conferences, family training, and use of adaptive devices and equipment
- Collaborative, flexible team players are the best fit for this unit
- Scrub color for Clinical Support staff is Caribbean Blue
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
