Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist for a night shift contract requiring ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography.
Details
- Diagnostic Imaging department performing CT and Radiologic (X-Ray) procedures
- Night shift schedule
- Required to take call, including holidays and weekends as needed
- May rotate or cross-train into other imaging modalities such as MRI, DEXA, and Mammography
- Works with PACS and RIS/HIS electronic systems
Requirements
- Active ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certifications required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state license required if applicable
- Registered in at least two imaging modalities
- Minimum experience not required, though prior technologist experience is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to learn and work with PACS and RIS/HIS systems
Additional Information
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures with adherence to ALARA radiation safety standards
- Verifies patient identification, obtains informed consent, and documents medical history as needed
- Notifies radiologist of STAT or emergent cases and provides physician contact information
- Assists with equipment QC, troubleshooting, and reporting malfunctions
- Provides patient education and ensures quality patient care
- Maintains supply inventory and completes required imaging documentation
- Supports team members through training or cross-training as needed
- Adheres to facility dress code and attendance policies
- Flexible scheduling required to cover emergencies, illness, or vacation gaps
