Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3 years of OR experience and PALS, BLS & ACLS certification.
Details
- Operating Room setting performing scrubbing and circulating duties for operative procedures
- 13-week assignment with 10-hour night shifts (9p-730a), 40 hours per week
- Call requirement of one 12-hour shift every other weekend
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required
- PALS, BLS & ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- At least 2 years of prior hospital experience in the specialty area required
Additional Information
- Responsible for preparing the operating room, assembling equipment and supplies, and ensuring equipment functionality for surgical procedures
- Adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques throughout operative procedures
- Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
- Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and operating team members
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
