Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Labor & Delivery Unit providing comprehensive obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
- Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
- Recently expanded with five new Labor & Delivery rooms featuring state-of-the-art equipment
- Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
- Rotating holidays and weekends required
- Block scheduling is not available
- Patient ratio of 1:1-2
- Meditech charting system preferred
Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor & Delivery RN experience
- OB Triage experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- BLS and NRP certification required
- C-EFM certification (through NCC or AWHONN) preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted with requirement to obtain C-EFM if contract extends to 1 year or more
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred
- Experience with Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred

- Located in Frederick, Maryland, a historic city near Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
- Smoke-free facility
- Pre-start modules required, averaging 4-5 hours, to be completed no later than 1 week prior to start
- Accepts local candidates with no radius rule and consistent pay rates
