Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Oncology Infusion (Chemo) position requiring chemotherapy certification and 3+ years of experience.
Details
- Work in the 4W Oncology Infusion (Chemo) unit of an acute care hospital
- Administer IV chemotherapy drugs and other intravenous therapies
- Provide pre- and post-treatment patient assessments and care
- Access ports or peripheral IV sites for lab draws and IV therapies
- Monitor patients during treatment and respond to side effects or reactions per protocol
- Uses Cerner EMR and Intellidose (TxM) charting systems
- Schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:30am-5pm and Friday 7am-Noon
- 13-week assignment with day shift hours
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Prior chemotherapy infusion experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) preferred
- BSN not required for this position
Additional Information
- Scrub colors accepted include solid Ceil Blue, Royal Blue, Burgundy/Wine, and Pewter Gray
- Must complete CBC, CMP, Urinalysis, and Reticulocyte Count lab testing prior to start
- Flexibility with scheduling may be requested based on patient treatment needs
- Local candidates accepted if residing 50 miles or more from the facility
