Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join a high-volume MedSurg/Telemetry unit. This unit primarily cares for patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), acute myocardial infarctions (MI), post-device care (e.g., pacemakers), and patients with arrhythmias.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7.
• Document patient information and care plans using EPIC.
• Float between units as required, including general surgery patients.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to implement patient care plans effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a MedSurg or Telemetry setting.
• Current New York RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification are required.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patient needs.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is necessary.

Schedule

• Available shifts are 4x12 Nights from 1900 to 0700.
• Every other weekend is required.

Work Environment

This position is in a tertiary care facility with a total of 528 staffed beds, offering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere for nursing staff. The scrubs can be any combination of navy and white.
